The Latest Lie
February 2, 2004
The latest neocon lie, echoed by the administration and the media, is that Saddam was hiding his lack of WMD–so don’t blame the aggressors. How could they have known?
In fact, last December, Saddam presented a 12,000 page weapons declaration to the UN, documenting what he had, and showing when and where he destroyed all his WMD. Neocons and Bush officials yukked it up over the declaration, which was then disappeared.
Of course, Saddam did have WMD in the 1980s, supplied by the US and Britain for their proxy aggression against Iran. That part of the 12,000 pages was immediately “redacted” by the US, i.e. censorsed, without a peep from our free press.
