Thank a “Veteran” Today

November 11, 2015

Webster’s dictionary defines “veteran” in two ways: “an old soldier,” and “a person of long experience usually in some occupation or skill.”

I myself am a veteran of the anti-war/anti-government/free-market educational movement, as are most of the writers on LewRockwell.com.  Thousands of LRC readers are also veterans of this movement.  Many are entrepreneurs, business people, educators, doctors, lawyers, members of the clergy, and all other parts of the private sector and the civil society with “long experience” in some occupation or skill.  So if you run across someone like this today, don’t be afraid to say “Thank You for Your Service.”  I started off today by saying this to the guy at Starbucks for serving me a great cup of coffee.
