NBC top story right now: hundreds of casualties, not thousands (4,354). Only when you enter and scroll down the linked article, do you see the latter dissenting figure mentioned.
Update: The alternate figure comes from Airwars, “made up of former journalists in the Middle East, Europe, and the U.S.” Hmm, former. Not another small hint that journalists have to leave their profession before really reporting the truth.
