Redskins and Mexicans
October 31, 2013
Ryan points out the absurdity of the politically-correct crowd shying away from calling someone from Mexico a Mexican, and condemning the wearing of sombreros on Halloween. It never occurs to these leftists that a Mexican may be just as proud of his Mexican heritage as the leftist is of his anglo heritage.
Similarly, I have read quite a few articles about Indians (who call themselves Indians, by the way, not the PC “native Americans”) who are proud that “Redskins” is associated with a professional football team and the world-class athleticism and courage that its players display on game days. They of course are studiously ignored by the media.
