Re: From Ayn Rand’s The Fountainhead

Lew, of Rand’s four novels, The Fountainhead is surely the most unlibertarian. Anthem is a nice parable about individualism; We, The Living is her best pure novel; and Atlas Shrugged has a good portrayal of the evils of bureaucracy, statism, and collectivism. But The Fountainhead assumes Roark’s quasi-rape of Dominique Francon and his intellectual-property terrorist bombing of Cortlandt Homes are heroic and justified. Skip the novel and the movie versions of The Fountainhead.
