So…I noticed that there are $18 billion dollars in budget cuts Trump wants to make to pay for the Great, Great Beautiful Wall of America. What happened to the tough guy that said he was going to make Mexico pay for it? Yeah, where’s the tough guy that said Mexico is going to pay for it? Since when has any “it’ll pay for itself” shibai from the government come true? Remember the Iraq War was going to pay for itself, too. But, hmmm, he said it was going to cost $12 billion but he needs $18 billion in cuts to pay for it? Which means the cost overruns are already being predicted and they haven’t even gotten a real cost estimate yet.
Americans up in areas where it’s a “heat wave” when the temperature hit the high 80s have NO IDEA what building this wall entails throughout a great swath of Arizona borderland known as The Journey of Death. Temperatures out there soar past 110 degrees—in the shade. No one knows how many dead are lying out there. No one knows how many die out there every year. Skulls, bones, and mummified remains all over the place. John Doe and Jane Doe unidentified remains stacking up every year. All dead from heat and dehydration. One might suppose the government won’t try building the wall through there in summer. But this is the federal government we’re talking about here, so of course they will think they can keep working through summer in this desert. And, predictably, they’ll lose scores of men as heat casualties. I would suggest the hospitals in Tucson create new wings in their ERs for the heat casualties from this wall alone.
See, the point is also the fact that people tunnel under the existing border fence. What, are you going to sink the foundation of the Great, Great Wall of America down 25 feet? Or more? Let’s see the cost estimate for that wall. No, this wall is nothing but a big ego-driven monument like any emperor builds to glorify himself. This is as pathetic as Mount Rushmore, the Lincoln Memorial, and other vestigial tails of idolatry that the government constructs to worship past emperors. In that, we are no different than the Romans. Who also built walls to keep people out, by the way.
Mark my words, this wall will begin to run out of steam (and money) real quick. No one has truly thought this thing through. Let me just let you in on a little secret: There is, and has been, NO PLAN on how to build this wall. It has never been done before. This thing will dwarf the Berlin Wall. Therefore, it’s all theoretical. The cost assessments they’re using are from small-scale walls. So don’t fool yourself into thinking the government went out there and actually surveyed the route and did the proper core sampling to ensure solid footing. None of that has been done. Before ANY federal construction project can be done, there needs to be core sampling of the site to determine proper soil load-bearing stability. That has NOT been done out there. Which means, they might run into unstable areas and have to route the wall around that. That, in turn, means possibly ceding scores of acres of U.S. soil to Mexico since the wall cannot be built on their soil. No one knows because no one has surveyed the route, done the core sampling and testing, and no estimate drawn up on that data.
This cost of $12 billion dollars was pulled right out of the mind of Donald Trump. It is not a real estimate drawn up by a government agency based on actual scientific data. Better wake up, people. Instead of a no-win war at a billion dollars a day, we’re about to have a no-win wall at a billion dollars a day.
