Media McTerrorism

Do you know what celebrities fear the most about Doomsday? That it will happen and there won’t be a next day they can glorify themselves with phony-baloney sympathy for the plight of billions of living beings that perished. They won’t have a tomorrow by which they can bring attention to themselves, ensconced in plush Beverly Hills estates, by saying, “I truly feel your pain…”

Am I alone in being sickened by celebrities making this terrorist attack in Manchester all about them and Ariana Grande? Look, she wasn’t even there when the bomb went off, from what I read. Now going around the news is this letter from a “dad” trying to console Ariana Grande about not feeling guilty for what happened. Okay, is this guy a therapist? Are we all supposed to applaud this?

This whole bizarre fascination with celebrities is pathetic. That real people die and they then glom onto it as a method to bring attention to themselves is something for which all of society ought to be ashamed. These celebrities are doing nothing but bringing continued “famous” attention to this attack, which is exactly what ISIS wants. This is the “terrorist propaganda machine”—keep everyone famous talking about the attack. Look! Celebrities are even talking! And the next misled, deluded young man who wants to make a name for himself will volunteer to carry out another attack.

Really now, will anyone see the truth? Television influences culture. The young are very susceptible to imitating what they see on it. We’ve known that for decades, but no one wants to admit it. So when some kid, teen, or young man sees all this publicity for the last suicide bomber, what is this telling him?

The so-called “news” lamely scolded the celebrities using this attack to bring attention to themselves. But, this morning, they’re at it again and the news reports it. Hey, guys, how about scrapping it? YOU, mass media, choose to report this. So don’t sit there and act innocent. It’s all about the ratings, ain’t it?
