11:42 am on November 7, 2013ATMs in New York City now distribute $50s instead of $20s. Inflation, baby! I thought it was just one ATM, but apparently it’s widespread. Looked it up on Twitter and apparently it’s not just in NYC. Twitter has stories of an ATM in Fresno spitting out $50s INSTEAD of $20s and overpaying the customers earlier in the week — an interesting ethical dilemma that the local news picked up, but the real story is that they’re now stocking ATMs with $50s, and not just in high-cost NYC!
