How to Make the Poorest of the Poor Even Poorer

Just follow the advice of the Argentinian Marxist/Jesuit (sorry for the redundancy) known as “the pope.”  His latest display of grotesque economic ignorance is to go to South America and tell the poor people there that markets, entrepreneurship, and private sector economic development in general are “the dung of the devil.”    This of course is exactly the opposite of the truth.  It is the policies that he favors — socialist central planning under the guise of environmentalism and welfare statism — that turn every economy into crap.
