Harvard’s Nuttiest Professor

Watching the 90-minute documentary on the life of Milton Friedman Monday evening on PBS (now available for free at the Idea Channel web site) entitled “The Power of Choice,” I was reminded of what a complete idiot, jackass, jerk, and worse that John Kenneth Galbraith was. In one short scene, for example, Galbraith is lecturing to a college audience and says, “Wage and price controls are absolutely essential in an economy like ours.” He of course became extremely rich and famous spouting nonsense like that.

A fun project for a Mises Institute intern or fellow would be to pick out similarly stupid remarks by Harvard’s Nuttiest Professor and work them up into a short article. Vedran, call your office.
