Falsifying History in High Gear: More Fantastic Fibs from James Loewen

July 13, 2015

A friend recently sent me a Washington Post article by one James Loewen, a retired leftist sociology professor (the only kind) from Vermont, who once again spreads some gross falsehoods about American “Civil War” history.  I’m no fan of the practice of littering the public spaces with statues to politicians and generals, no matter where they are from, but I especially despise people who, while pretending to be “scholars,” falsify history to further their political agenda, as Loewen does.  I exposed a previous bundle of outrageous falsehoods by James Loewen several years ago on this Web site.  His latest Washington Post blabbering is typical Soviet Poverty Law Center propaganda – a few facts combined with mountains of falsehoods aimed at slandering and libeling a person or group of persons with whom they disagree.
