Economics for Beginners Series

March 29, 2021

The Mises Institute has created an excellent series of instructive videos to introduce the basic principles, concepts and ideas of Economics. This series succinctly provides brief overview presentations on these elemental features to students, parents, and anyone interested in how Economics impacts society. Each concise presentation is less than five minutes.

I taught Economics in a public high school setting for twenty six years and this series is an excellent introductory tool for exploring Economics.

In these days of government-mandated lockdowns, compulsory distance learning, declining school standards of rigor and academic excellence due to ideological indoctrination and bureaucratic malfeasance, more and more persons are abandoning the disintegrating tax supported compulsory government schools or are supplementing their children’s education and learning with innovative alternative instruction, at all levels from K-to college and beyond.

This series is a superb place to begin this transformative educational experience.
