Why Aren’t Our Catholic Bishops Outraged?

September 28, 2016

Three Catholic priests have been murdered in Mexico in the past week.

Mexico is the most dangerous country in the world to be a priest.

Not Russia, not Iran, but Mexico.

Archbishop José Gomez of Los Angeles was born in Monterrey, Mexico. For several years he has been at the forefront of the Catholic left in advocating amnesty for illegal aliens. He condemns the “nativism,” “racism,” and “xenophobia” of opponents of amnesty.

Archbishop Gomez just made major news when he called for the end of the death penalty in California. His website features his views on that issue at length.

So far I can find no report of  any comments the archbishop might have regarding the murders of his brother priests in his native land.

I have asked his office to direct me to his statements, if any. If I get a response, I will post it here.
