Lew, platoons of media-recruited professional pontificators and “expert”s have painted the Thompson assassin as having “left trails of breadcrumbs,” “made many mistakes” and been an inept gun-handler. My take: The guy was a master of both murder-for-hire and misdirection. I.e. he made the kill, got away with it and now, got away. He may be as gone and for as long as D.B. Cooper.
