What’s not to love about a military bloc – the largest in history and history’s first global armed alliance – which expanded from a Cold War partnership of 12 nations (all on the Atlantic Ocean except Italy) to 32 full members and 40 military partners on all six inhabited continents?

About one that attacked and destroyed three nations – Yugoslavia, Libya and Afghanistan – outside its geographical area of responsibility and has been involved in the wars in Sudan (Darfur) and Somalia as well as offensive military operations in Pakistan?

Evidently global warming (about which NATO officially reserves the right to go to war*) has led to ocean front erosion, and the Atlantic Ocean has crept up to the Hindu Kush mountain range.

Some of us warned that if Biden was declared victor in the presidential election four years ago, and Hillary Clinton eight years ago, the world would be consumed by wars. Last night Biden passed the baton to Kamala Harris to issue in the final war, the war of all wars.

Trump left NATO ‘in tatters’ – Biden

Donald Trump damaged NATO unity by *****putting American interests first***** during his time in the White House, US President Joe Biden has said.

Biden, who last month dropped out of the 2024 presidential race in favor of Vice President Kamala Harris, lashed out at the Republican nominee during a speech at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago on Monday. One of his lines of attack was over the damage he claimed Trump had done to NATO during his term as president.

“When Trump left office, Europe in NATO was in tatters – not a joke. [The] America First doctrine changed our whole image in the world,” Biden said, referring to the key policy of Trump’s 2016-2020 presidency.
