Lincoln Sold Slaves
February 14, 2024
A new book reviewed by Clyde Wilson documents that in 1850 Lincoln sold the slaves that his wife inherited. It is scandalous that this fact has been ignored by the Lincoln cult all these years.
Robert E. Lee’s wife, Mary Custis Lee, a descendant of Mary Washington, also inherited slaves, and Lee freed them in accordance with his father-in-law’s will.
