Charlie, Gary, and Duke

August 18, 2014

Writes Charlie Glass:

Whenever I was walking to the car with Wayne in some part of Los Angeles, people would stop him for autographs.

Adds Gary North:

I was one of them, back in 1955. I was inside a TV production lot. I had been able to see a “Roy Rogers” show production, as well as “Topper.” As I was walking off the lot, there was Duke. The boy I was with and I asked him for his autograph. He was quite personable. I long ago lost the autograph book, but not the memory, which is more valuable. He signed a lot of them.
