Mises Institute Founded 27 Years Ago Today

I consider this date in 1982 as the start of the Institute (though I had been working on it for more than a year), because it’s the day I gave notice to my boss. The founding resources consisted of my old typewriter and small bank account, plus an unsurpassed band of collaborators: Margit von Mises, Murray N. Rothbard, Ron Paul, F.A. Hayek, and Hans F. Sennholz. How blessed I was.
