See this Bloomberg article. In the 4th paragraph down, GE CEO Jeff Immelt comes right out and says it: “The interaction between government and business will change forever. In a reset economy, the government will be a regulator; and also an industry policy champion, a financier, and a key partner.”
I’m reminded that GE CEO Gerard Swope was chosen by FDR to head the explicitly fascist National Recovery Administration.
