La Shish, RIP

March 3, 2008

The federal and Michigan gangs have destroyed a spectacularly good chain of restaurants in the Detroit area, La Shish, because the Muslim owner allegedly kept too much of his own money and, more to the point, had the wrong political views.

Entrepreneur Talal Chahine, originally from Lebanon, is accused of donating some of his own money to a Lebanese militia-political party. Why is this illegal in the US? Because to resist an invasion of your country by the US or a satrap of the US is terrorism hy definition. It’s a privilege to be occupied by US, Israeli, etc., troops, and don’t you forget it.

Meanwhile, in the economically devastated Detroit area, just another example of public service: destroying a successful business and depriving employees and customers of good jobs and delicious, well-priced meals during a government recession. (Thanks to Robert Tremewan.)
