Where Did America Go?

August 24, 2026

America’s dissolution is proceeding pell-mell.  The President of the United States uses profanity in his public statements that would have shocked earlier generations, threatening all who displease him with destruction.  Young women advertise their sexual promiscuity in public contests of how many men with whom they can have sexual intercourse in a specified time period. Today’s counterpart of the Greek philosopher looking for an honest man is one looking for a chaste woman.

Crimes are turned into misdemeanors in order to avoid the “racism” of having too many blacks incarcerated. The number of scammers taking advantage of the digital revolution is beginning to rival the number of people in the legitimate workforce.  Wherever we look in public and private institutions we see mounting corruption. Honesty no longer pays.

A rising percentage of a once-proud American population now consists of drug addicts and homeless persons without a Great Depression to blame it on.  Artificial intelligence is eliminating jobs on top of those eliminated by offshoring American manufacturing jobs.

But it is the evaporation of civic pride among residents of American cities caused by wave after wave of Democrat Party sponsored immigrant invasions that has done the most to dissolve America.

A city in Michigan in which Muslims are a majority has legalized animal sacrifice.  Minneapolis has Muslim call to prayer six times daily over public loudspeakers.  Muslim communities in America are demanding Sharia law.  Massachusetts has passed a law that requires the state to recruit more Muslims into the government.

Even the Constitution is crumbling. The Israel Lobby demands punishment for those Americans who use their First Amendment rights to criticize Israel’s policies and influence over the US government, and Congress and President Trump seem willing to criminalize any criticism of Israel, including objections to genocide.

In the Summer 2026 issue of City Journal Shawn Regan describes the collapse of Los Angeles, America’s second largest city, into dysfunction.

One of his examples is “the ribbon of light,” the Sixth Street bridge with ten soaring arches and thousands of LED lights.

The bridge was completed in 2022, but by 2025 it was dark. The Los Angeles underclass, supported by the working population of Los Angeles and goody-two-shoes liberal Democrats, stripped all the copper wires out of the electric infrastructure to sell to support its drug habit. Regan writes: Today the bridge is dark. Deprived of its lighting, cobbled with graffiti, and dangerous for pedestrians. The most expensive bridge in Los Angeles history stands as a monument to civil dysfunction.

When residents no longer have pride in their cities but view them as resources to steal from in order to support their escape from reality, you know the civilization is dead.

In Los Angeles 25,500 street lights are out of service every night as their wiring is stolen faster than it can be replaced. Los Angeles’ public parks are open air drug markets.  Its streets are homeless encampments. Families are leaving, and school enrollment is falling.  Los Angeles, like so many other Democrat cities, stands as the utter and total failure of the white liberal agenda to support failure, not success.  To support DEI, not merit. To destroy a well functioning society with ignorant assertions of racism.

This is what the white liberals have done to America. White liberals have murdered America.  White liberals are America’s worst enemies, not Iran, Venezuela, Russia, China, as the Republicans maintain.

Regan explains that because of Los Angeles’ own laws, the city cannot repair its own sidewalks or pave its own streets.  Therefore, the city’s transportation infrastructure rapidly deteriorates.

California, the Golden Land, has become the land to escape from. As Elon Musk and his companies have done.

The Failure of Laissez... Roberts, Dr. Paul Craig Best Price: $3.49 Buy New $12.27 (as of 04:00 UTC - Details) In my book published thirteen years ago, The Failure of Laissez Faire Capitalism and Economic Dissolution of the West, I described the destruction of America’s leading cities by US corporations pushed by Wall Street  to offshore their production for their American market to China. This destroyed a large chunk of the American middle class. With the jobs destruction went the tax bases of manufacturing cities and states. Chicago was forced to sell the revenues from its parking meters for 75 years just to finance one year’s budget.

To quote the official statistics of the time as reported in my book:  “The population of Detroit, Michigan, once America’s 4th largest city and a powerhouse of US manufacturing, declined by 25% in the first decade of the 21st century. Gary, Indianapolis, lost 22% of its population, Flint, Michigan lost 18% of its population. Cleveland, Ohio, lost 17%. St. Louis lost 20%”.

The anti-white, anti-American Democrats and white liberals have replaced these economically destroyed white populations with publicly-supported immigrant invaders supported by hard-pressed American workers who live hand to mouth..

The white liberal Democrats have transformed America.  Today America is a Tower of Babel where animal sacrifice is legal and the Muslim call to prayer rings out via loudspeakers in the state capital of Minnesota.  Governors of Democrat states announce that Somalis are an integral part of the state’s population and decision making.

America, once a nation, is today a Tower of Babel.
