Russia v. America — The View from Alexander Dugin and Pepe Escobar

Slaying the dragon of globalism

February 19, 2024

This long interview with Russian philosopher Alexander Dugin and journalist Pepe Escobar is split into two parts. I highly recommend listening to it all to get a sense of how Russia sees the West: we know how the West and particularly America sees Russia. It makes sense to understand how a Russian thinker sees the evolution of his own nation under Putin. Comfort Zone Utility S... Buy New $34.85 (as of 07:21 UTC - Details)

We could say that Escobar is biased against the West, but that would be to dismiss his valuable insights. Escobar is a well informed geopolitical thinker in his own right, offering valuable insights into the Russia-China partnership.

As we learned from Tucker Carlson’s recent visit to Moscow, our information and understanding is heavily influenced by anti-Russia propaganda.

This interview is available on X (Twitter), but in the interests of collating information for my paid subscribers who may have not seen it, I repeat it here.

In Part 1, Dugin makes the point that Russia has been built into a sovereign state by Putin with its own civilisation and identity. His approach is multipolar, allowing sovereign states to determine their own future. And Escobar comments that it is this identity and its influence across Eurasia which in its resistance to America’s unilateral order concerns Washington.

In Part Two Dugin and Excobar go into the West’s decline in morality (rejection of Christianity, increasing wokeness etc.) pointing out that Russia cannot and will not evolve its own civilisation into the Western model. The decline of America is assured, and Europe which is subject to America’s divide and rule policies must build its own independent defence capability.

Enjoy!
