Guess Who Just Left Twitter

From the Tom Woods Letter:

It’s incredible how upset some people get over free speech.

The latest is Elton John, who just announced he’ll be leaving Twitter:

“All my life I’ve tried to use music to bring people together. Yet it saddens me to see how misinformation is now being used to divide our world. I’ve decided to no longer use Twitter, given their recent change in policy which will allow misinformation to flourish unchecked.”

By “misinformation” he means news or interpretations of the news that aren’t approved by the Official Molders of Opinion.

Incidentally, Elton John once said he opposed the war in Iraq, but that he changed his mind about George W. Bush when the latter spent $15 billion to fight AIDS.

All is forgiven, George! The price for ol’ Elton to forget all about those dead Iraqis? $15 billion, apparently.

Remember, too, that that war was among the most stunning cases of misinformation in Elton John’s entire lifetime. But all is forgiven now, because he met George W. Bush in person and found him “warm” and friendly.

Yeah, that Elton John sure is concerned about misinformation!

If you’re not entirely certain that Anderson Cooper is giving you the full story or the world’s governments are telling the truth, why, you’re an agent of misinformation! These are all wonderful people nobody should ever want to doubt.

Pathetic.

Remember when rock music was supposed to be the music of rebellion? Ha. That was always a sham, but especially now, when the message is: trust the official sources and shut your mouths, peons.

Incidentally, if your trust levels are in fact pretty low, make sure to watch the replay of our presentation on how to protect your online privacy against thieves, creeps, and snoops, because it’s being taken down tomorrow:
