You're Invited to My Axe-Throwing Party

Evidently there’s a place in Winnipeg that allows you to hold axe-throwing parties. It’s called Bad Axe Throwing.

I’m not kidding.

People throw axes at a target, competitively.

My first thought: I want to do this.

My second thought: you and I have lived our entire lives as one big axe-throwing party.

The Politically Incorr... Thomas E. Woods Jr. Best Price: $1.51 Buy New $8.71 (as of 06:15 UTC - Details) I’ve spent my professional life taking aim at the Establishment version of U.S. history: pro-government, pro-centralization, pro-war, pro-Fed, pro-“great presidents,” the whole kit and caboodle. I’ve put these icons and idols up on the wall and tossed axe after axe, with a gleeful grin.

I was attacked in a signed editorial in the New York Times after my Politically Incorrect Guide to American History came out (fifteen years ago this year). The Times didn’t bother pointing out where I was wrong. They just couldn’t believe I had the nerve to say such things.

Naturally, that backfired: by the next week my book had hit the top 10 on the paper’s own bestseller list. People had to find out what the Times found so terrifying.

Now the owner of Bad Axe Throwing says, “If you pay attention to what you’re doing, even if you’ve never held an axe before in your life, within five throws it’s very possible for most people to hit a bullseye.”

That is precisely why I created Liberty Classroom. Why should I throw axes alone? I want to train people to throw axes alongside me.

And even if you’re a beginner, spending some time with Liberty Classroom will make you a top-notch axe-thrower. (Plus, we have coupons!)

Establishment history and economics must be hacked to bits. Pick up your axe:

Also, in case you missed this:

I haven’t been an axe thrower only.

When I was in my early teens I was a (pretty lame) computer hacker.

And one day the Secret Service came looking for me.

This is 100% true and actually happened in 1986.
