EU DECEIT: How Brussels' Free Trade Agreements are 'FAKE' and 'LIMIT TRADE'
THE European Union claims to have over 40 “free-trade agreements” with around 50 countries in place but instead of “freeing trade”, these deals turn out to do the exact opposite, former Ukip MP Douglas Carswell has claimed in his book.

The House of Commons is expected to vote on Theresa May’s Brexit deal on Tuesday after her agreement was roundly rejected in an historic defeat earlier this month. Mrs May’s plan B seeks to cut ties with the European single market, prompting Britain to seek international trade deals with countries in Africa, as well as Japan and the US. The Secretary of State for International Trade Liam Fox claimed last week the UK will become “champions of free trade” when it leaves the bloc as it will be able to take up its “independent seat at the World Trade Organisation”.
Echoing Mr Fox’s claims, in his 2017 book “Rebel: How to Overthrow the Emerging Oligarchy”, Mr Carswell argued Brexit will be a “golden opportunity” for Britain to strike free trade agreements with the rest of the world and free itself from the EU’s economic restrictions.

The former Ukip MP claimed Brussels’ so-called “free-trade agreements” actually limit trade and just like the single market does not create prosperity.
He explained: “The EU claims to have over forty trade deals in place with around fifty countries, but despite calling them Free-Trade Agreements they turn out to be precisely the opposite.
“They stipulate that trade may only happen if it conforms with bureaucratic requirements.
“Indeed, many of these supposedly ‘free-trade’ deals foist quotas on often poorer countries, preventing them from selling their exports to the EU.
