Retired Missile Silo Turned Into $750K Home

A decommissioned Cold War-era missile silo, located in the Adirondock Mountains of upstate New York, recently hit the market for $750,000.

The home is buried in and surrounded by 8.3 acres of fenced in land, and the inside has, of course, been renovated for modern living, according to Realtor Brian Dominic of Select Sotheby’s International Realty. Forty feet below ground, is a 3,200 square-foot silo home that includes one bedroom, one bathroom, a kitchen and a large living area.

And the actual silo area is 185 feet deep and the doors still open for launch. But there’s no missiles though. That costs extra.
