War Casualties the State Ignores

The recent suicide of Daniel Somers, a thirty year-old former American soldier who had been stationed in Iraq, reveals how the war system destroys not only the lives of foreigners, but the inner-lives of soldiers who inflict such death and destruction. Daniel wrote this very sad letter to his family just before taking his own life.  In a time when more American soldiers die from suicide than from combat, his words should cause even the most avid war-hawks to examine their thinking.
