‘The US Military Is a Socialist Enterprise’

When I made that comment to a bunch of College Republicans urging Bush to bomb Paris (and I think they were serious), they were outraged and denied it. After we talked more, they switched to telling me that “some socialism is necessary.” And of course it is, for such endeavors.
Meanwhile, according to the conservatives, anyone who doesn’t want more American kids ground up in the socialist war machine is a communist.
