Lew, I believe that had the professor had a link and then demanded a boycott of the Komen Foundation for its temporary refusal to give Planned Parenthood a boatload of money, then he would have been praised and honored. As a college professor, I can tell you that institutions of “higher” education don’t mind one’s mixing this kind of advocacy with classroom work, as long as one chooses Politically Correct subjects.

For example, if I were to have all sorts of links to “sustainability” sites, including sites that advocated boycotts, I would not have to worry about facing sanctions or being reprimanded. The prof at UCLA just picked the wrong subject to boycott.
