Lew: I’ve long been of the view that the legalization of marijuana (or, rather, getting rid of the taint of illegality) would not occur until the pharmaceutical companies and the state could figure out a way to monopolize its supply. Perhaps the outright cruelty associated with continuing to criminalize its use by seriously ill people has been too much even for Boobus to any longer tolerate.
