In my recent reply to a libertarian critic, I stated: “The author implies that it is bigotry to not want to associate with gays. Some people with teenage boys may have good reasons for not wanting their boys around gay men. And it has nothing to do with bigotry.”
Just to clarify. It is not just gay men that parents may not want their teenage boys to hang around. Some might also say bikers, ex-cons, high-school dropouts, the homeless, drug addicts, alcoholics, the chronic unemployed, and even all men from 20-50.
So, I was not just “picking on gays.”
