Radley Balko has published a white paper through the Cato Institute that looks at the increased militarization of the police. He looks at the Ronald Reagan Drug War as ground zero in this madness. It is interesting that people still try to tell us that Reagan gave us “less government,” when the real legacy of his administration was to expand the drug war and throw more people into prison.
