A Certificate for 1,626 Kills
October 26, 2013
When U.S. Air Force pilot Brandon Bryant left active duty, he was presented with a certificate that credited his squadron for 1,626 kills. He “served as a sensor operator for the Predator program from 2007 to 2011, manning the camera on the unmanned aerial vehicles that carried out attacks overseas.” He is now traumatized and suffers from PTSD. He is now speaking out about his experience as a drone killer.
N.B., this provides some insight into the drone program from one who participated. This does not mean that Mr. Bryant is consumed with remorse and is now a libertarian noninterventionist.
