Why Americans Need a War With Russia Over the Ukraine

March 3, 2014

The U.S. government’s logic:

“The U.S. military fights for our freedoms and rights.

“Sending more troops equals more fighting for our freedoms and rights.

“And since the ‘good guys’ always win, we will end up with more, stronger freedoms and rights!

“Ergo, we need a war with Russia over the Ukraine.”

(Thanks to Michael Chaffee for this slightly edited syllogism.)

I’d add that if this is not enough, then add in

“Fighting for the freedoms and rights of others anywhere on earth secures our own freedoms and rights.”
