According to Hill sources (and this video), while the evil Republicans and the evil Democrats were voting together on the House Floor to add the final nail to the coffin of the Republic — a vote which they termed “Debt Deal to Reopen Government” — a House stenographer rushed the dais and loudly expressed her view of the whole tawdry affair:
“A House divided cannot stand — you are all sons of the devil!”
Of course she was immediately taken off by security and will never be seen again. Tsk tsk mentally ill needs treatment…
But for that one short tiny moment we actually had some sanity and bravery on the House Floor!
