The Culture of Sex Abuse

In the military. So testified an alleged sexual assault victim on the stand in the trial at Fort Leonard (MO) of a drill sergeant who “allegedly exploited his authority by sexually assaulting her and another trainee at the same time.” The woman “testified that she had always wanted to be a soldier and didn’t want to risk getting kicked out by immediately reporting the incident.” Now, that does not justify being sexually assaulted, but why is it that a woman can even say that she always wanted to be a solder? A man I can understand (even though it is still not a wise thing in my opinion), but for a woman to have always wanted to be soldier boggles my mind.
