More US Sanctions on Russia the Day After Obama Admits Sanctions Don’t Work
December 19, 2014
I was on RT yesterday as President Obama signed a new bill into law — passed in the US House by parliamentary trick after Members had gone home — that authorizes yet another round of US sanctions against Russia. This one day after Obama announced that he was normalizing relations with Cuba because, as he admitted, sanctions do not work.
The new law also authorizes $350 million to be spent on lethal weapons for the US proxy government in Kiev. Of course, the bill stipulates that the money must be spent purchasing weapons of war from American suppliers! And what about the economic consequences for the US of Obama’s sanctions on Russia?
