Kiss of Death?

June 14, 2014

Politico took some pictures of the office of Professor David Brat, the man who defeated Eric Cantor, and discovered that he had a copy of my book, How Capitalism Saved America: The Untold History of Our Country, from the Pilgrims to the Present, on his desk.  He’s in big trouble now.

The Soviet Poverty Law Center must already be hard at work on its latest Hate Group Report.  Using the SPLC’s standard methodology, here’s what they’re likely to say:  Step 1:  There’s some dude in southwestern Virginia who claims to belong to a white supremacist group.  Step 2:  Professor David Brat once traveled through southwestern Virginia.  Step 3:  Therefore, David Brat is “linked to white supremacist groups.”  (Hey, a link is a link.  And all links are created equal, as our Great Father in Heaven, Abraham Lincoln, would say).  (Thanks to Travis Holte).
