Hey, Hey, LBJ, How Many Rights Did You Kill Today?

There’s a celebration of mass-murder LBJ’s signing of the 1964 civil rights act taking place at his presidential temple in Texas now. Such fellow warmongers as Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, and Barack Obama join in the festivities. Yet the law subverts freedom of association, freedom of contract, private property, and other essential principles. It also, of course,  enhances the state.

Thanks to the late F.A. Harper, founder of the Institute for Humane Studies, for making available to me, many years ago, this interesting law review article on the subject.
