Hands Off the Clock, Feds

Writes Arthur Oczko: “When ‘daylight savings time’ was explained to an old Indian, he said: ‘Only the government would claim to cut a foot off the top of a blanket, sew it to the bottom, and end up with a longer blanket.'”

DST was first used extensively in war, but I do not believe any of the official excuses for it, although it does benefit some activities at the expense of others. The main reason for the state’s foisting it on us is love of control. True, the state is all about redistribution, but pols and crats live to order us around. Indeed, next to killing people, foreign and domestic, it is their favorite recreation.
