See here and here. These stooges of AIPAC have signed a letter in their words “urging President Obama to increase the pressure on Iran to dismantle its nuclear weapons programs.”

I denounce every one of these members of Congress as irresponsible liars, because Iran has no nuclear weapons program to dismantle. Every person in this list should be removed from office for taking on AIPAC’s hard line on Iran.

They are irresponsible not only in lying but in acting with haste. The election of Iran’s new president is only a few weeks past (June 14, 2013) and already they have reached the judgment that the election changes nothing. To the contrary, there are positive signals coming from Iran.

Sanctions kill. They are a form of warfare. The U.S. continues to pressure Iran and impose hardships on her people. The U.S. government remains cruel and uncivilized in its treatment of many peoples, including Iran’s.

Shame on these members of Congress for plunging ahead with Israel’s hard line and passing up the opportunity to negotiate a settlement.
