Another Failed Government War

The War on Cancer, which is now 40 years old, began with the National Cancer Act, signed by Nixon. In a story about this on The Take Away, some researcher said that we still don’t know how to cure most cancers. She did say, however, that lifestyle changes like quitting smoking and losing weight play a major part in fighting cancer. I’m no doctor, but it seems to me that there is no incentive for anyone receiving government grant money to find a cure for cancer or anything else. Not only is the government funding cancer research not constitutional, it should be left up to the private sector anyway, just like everything else. Although I am not a doctor, I have written on the issue of health care several times. See my articles here.

I highly recommend anything medical related on LRC by Bill Sardi, Dr. Mercola, and Dr. Miller.
