A Roundtable of Anarcho-Capitalists: Walter Block, Tim Moen & Victor Pross

By Luis Rivera III
This is a roundtable discussion that features Austro-libertrian Walter Block, Libertarian Party leader Tim Moen, and Victor “The Ancap Artist” Pross. As many of Blocks’ interviews are, this interview has Dr. Block speaking on multiple different subtopics that fall underneath libertarianism. Among these subtopics is the one that covers Milton Friedman’s views on libertarianism. Dr. Block who knew Milton Friedman explains why Friedman rejected the non-aggression principle (NAP) on non-political grounds (approximately 30 minutes into the interview). Another subtopic is the one on children and how the NAP relates to them if at all. The question discussed is: Does the NAP apply to children? Block position is no, it does not. He explains that they are not fully rights bearing creatures (See Block vs. Stefan Molyneux “Does Spanking Violate the Non-Aggression Principle?”). In another subtopic the question of: is voting or infiltrating nefarious systems (such as the State) bad? Does it mean that you are necessarily an archist/statist? Are you necessarily a thief or murderer if you’re a guard or politician? Block goes over his concentration camp guard example. This example shows that neither concentration camp guards are “bad/evil.” Libertarian Party leader Tim Moen, then applies that same principle explained in the video to politicians: politicians aren’t necessarily “bad or evil” (See “Walter Block Responds to Wenzel on Rand Paul,” Walter Block vs. Stephen Molyneuax on Ron Paul and Walter Block vs. Wendy McElroy). Another intriguing question is answered by Dr. Block: If, libertarians espouse historically right political beliefs (such are fiscal conservative views) and hold historically left views on social issues, does this mean that libertarians are moderate? Block says “no!” This and much more from three well read libertarians.
