A Chapter in Constitutional Subversion
March 27, 2010
Between 1837 and 1900, a series of Supreme Court decisions flouted the constitutional prohibition of state issues of paper money. I’ve made available an article on this as part 3 of a continuing series on the U.S. Constitution and money. These articles review Edwin Vieira Jr.’s out-of-print book “Pieces of Eight”. This article is here. The three articles (and others on other subjects) can be found in my scribd archive. They can be read for free. To download scribd documents, one may join, which is a fast and harmless procedure.
