In Defense of the Most Beautiful Woman in the World

At the age of 15, I first saw Sophia Loren. It was THE SCENE in Boy on a Dolphin (4:30). I made up my mind then. I have not changed it.

I kept getting older. She did, too. She kept looking better. I didn’t.[amazon asin=B00EGPLIBA&template=*lrc ad (right)]

Recently, I saw one of those collections of comparison photos. This one was celebrities who have aged the worst. There are some real horors. Val Kilmer. Goldie Hahn. (Really scary.) Nick Nolte. (Grandpa N.) Jeffrey Jones. Elizabeth Taylor. (The model for deterioration from perfection to . . . Elizabeth Taylor.) Ozzie Osborne. (His brain has aged with him.) Lindsey Lohan. (Night of the living dead) Keith Richards. (Back from the living dead) Steven Tyler. (Started out really frightening, and then got worse) Others were just the way of all flesh. Billy Crystal. Steven Seagal. Bruce Jenner. It happens.

But then I came to Sophia. Sophia is 79 years old. Take a look at the 79-year-old woman. (Scroll down.)

Sixty years of this. I rest my case.
