Trump Headline

Writes Vincent Castigliola;

Dear Lew,

Reading an RT headline and article this morning led me to the following observation.   Give President Trump a Hand …Or at least give him a break.

According to the U.K. Telegraph: Prime Minister May has faced criticism after a photograph during her White House visit showed her holding hands with Mr. Trump in an unscripted moment.

Video footage appeared to show Mr. Trump reaching out to hold Mrs. May’s hand as they went down a slope in the White House.

RT headlines its Feb. 8 article: PM Theresa May Mocks Trump’s Small Hands

The facts within the article are a bit different.  Mrs. May’s mockery was: “Thank you very much for that wonderful reception,” May said when taking the stage.  “I don’t think I have received such a big hand since I walked down the colonnade at the White House.”  Humorous, but hardly mocking.

While not acceptable for President Trump to act a bully towards the media, their acting in such a manner towards him is quite popular, when even gentlemanly acts by the President are ridiculed.  Perhaps they are seeking the gratifying results sometimes derived from constantly picking on a person different than you?

Incessant criticism, coupled with never recognizing the good actions of a person has, to my observation, driven mere mortal men to foolish responses.  With a US President, could that bring about unintended consequences.

Give Peace (and Trump) a Chance.
