Thoughts on today’s post

Writes Greg Privette:

Hi Lew,

I had thoughts on one of today’s posts.

As for all the discrepancies noted in “The COVIDCon Plays Ball”. This reminded me of one of my favorites. There is an east/west state highway I travel occasionally. It crosses from Georgia into

Alabama out in the middle of nowhere. There is of course an arbitrary “line” going through the woods that differentiates the two states. About fifty yards on one side is Stateline Liquors and about fifty yards on the other side is Stateline Fireworks. So within about a hundred or so yards you can by liquor or fireworks, you just have to be on the correct side of the imaginary line! Of course, I am sure LRC readers know the real reason for that imaginary line. It obviously won’t prevent anyone from buying either liquor or fireworks. It simply defines which criminal organization gets to loot which area.
