For the above noted RT New article by Scott Ritter posted on LRC, the subheading reads: “Meet the new boss, same as the old boss, and the boss before that”.

This reminds me of something from the great series of interviews conducted by Oliver Stone with Putin. On a side note, I am not sure where this series is currently available to view but I would highly recommend watching it. The final interview occurred while Trump was President elect. At that time, Russia gate was just getting underway but had not reached the level of hysteria it eventually would. Stone asked Putin something about preferring Trump or being glad Trump won. Putin said it really wasn’t important to him. Stone pushed the issue a little and Putin’s response was very much illustrated by the current Scott Ritter article. His reply was “the presidents change, the policy never does”.
