I am sad Butler Shaffer has left.  For me he is the standard libertarian writers and thinkers should aspire to.  He was always cordial and kind in our occasional correspondences and though not tribal was proud to be an old Bug Eater.  Of this we had a mutual kinship.

Should they ever erect the Mount Rushmore of LRC, his thoughtful visage and considering brow belongs there.
