The Brutal Winter of 1976/77

Writes, Jerome B.:

Lew-

I’m old enough to remember the brutal winter of 1976/77.

No natural gas shortages, no supply chain disruptions, no rolling blackouts.  It was just very cold and miserable for 43 straight days.  I lived in Maryland at the time.

Now we get a few days of sub-zero temperatures and the entire system goes haywire.
